Volunteer Opportunities
Volunteers needed to deliver meals on wheels to seniors
Florida Keys Watch: Formerly Florida Bay Watch, Florida Keys Watch is a program of The Nature Conservancy designed to assess the water quality of the canal systems throughout the Keys. The Conservancy trains several volunteers to collect water quality data and water samples from various canals located throughout the Keys. This program will provide data which may help scientists understand the state of the water within our canal systems. Call Stevie Levine at 305-745-8402 or e-mail at : slevine@tnc.org Marathon Wild Bird Center The Marathon Wild Bird Center needs volunteers for many tasks, including feeding the birds and sometimes helping in the hospital. Shifts are available Tuesday, Wednesday and Friday from 4-6 PM. Volunteers must be 16 and work solo (no friends or family during work shifts, though the Center welcomes their visits at other times). Can be used to help fulfill community service requirement. Minimum 6-month commitment. Located in the Museums of Crane Point Hammock at MM50.
